With the deadline for submitting the research board getting closer and closer, it’s time to get some basic designs done, so I only have to worry about filling it in with content.
As usual, I’m way behind on posting stuff on this blog, so here’s some more catching up. This time around it’s the first real typography brief we have, which is titled “Hidden Typography”.
Let’s continue where I left off two days ago!
After thinking about what to do, I decided to just go with Aviators as my “band”. Not for any particular reason; it was a pretty arbitrary choice, but I needed to focus my efforts. So with that in mind, I’m gonna go ahead and build a wireframe of the stuff I need. Let’s get right into it.
I’ve been reading “The Ultimate Guide to Video Game Writing and Design” by Flint Dille and John Zuur Platten, which I borrowed from the library. Mostly because this one has the shortest loan time so I have to get through this one first. From what I’ve read so far, I don’t 100% agree with everything the book says, but for the most part it is a helpful and interesting resource. I’ll just use this post as a place to gather some quotes I could use later.
As usual, I need to do some catching up. This post is about the audio visual session we had on the 3rd of November. I don’t really have any pictures this time since I was using my camera to make videos, but what I’ll do is embed the video here and write about each little section of it.
Alright, now with that terrible pun out of the way, let’s actually start this post. Yesterday we had a tech workshop, or something like that. I don’t know if it even had a proper name. The point was to play around with gadgets and see how they can be used in practical ways. We formed groups, and everyone had to draw two little cards, one of which had a piece of technology on it, while the other was a client we had to “work” for. We got the LEAP Motion.
